Rhodri Samuel

Rhodri has a long history of directing the concept development, design and delivery of complex creative place-making and regeneration projects in urban & rural environments. His former roles include leading regeneration for the city of Bath for 15 years and being CEO of the Dartington Hall Trust in Devon for five years. His core skills include the leadership and direction of innovation and change including vision, identity, story, strategy, master-planning and regenerative land-use (including farming and forestry). His projects have drawn on innovative and creative approaches to public participation and co-creation, which have built positive relationships, trust and support with diverse and challenging stakeholder communities. 

He has a Fellowship in Responsible Leadership from the Forward Institute and has served as a board member of Creative Bath, Bristol Urban Design Forum and the Bath World Heritage Site Steering Group. He has set up and run multi-disciplinary panels, advisory groups and labs involving national and international expert practitioners in place-making, regeneration, ecology, transport, housing and the arts. He is also a non-executive director of a regenerative farm, food hub and wellbeing centre, a core team member of WholeWorld-View and a member of the Spirited Business network.
