Bath City Riverside Enterprise Area Masterplan

The Bath City Riverside Enterprise Area comprises a necklace of redundant, under-utilised and neglected sites amounting to 98Ha of land which follow the line of the River Avon through the city. The area, which has the potential to accommodate up to 9,000 new jobs and 3,400 new homes, was designated as a key zone for growth in the city by the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) which committed significant investment to help the city's ambitions for the development to be realised.

Rhodri played a key role as creative director of the masterplan on behalf of the city between 2012 and 2014, working closely with the design and other consultants and leading a co-creative participation process with multiple city stakeholders and citizens. He also led more detailed proposals and a masterplan for the Bath Quays South site to become a new focus for Bath’s burgeoning creative industries. In support of this, he also co-founded the Creative Bath network to strengthen and grow Bath’s creative industries sector, leading to Bath being identified by NESTA as a Top 10 UK Creative City.
