Katharine Le Quesne

Katharine is focused on helping clients to create environmental, social and economic value in next generation hospitality assets. Her international experience is based on over 20 years with Jones Lang LaSalle, Arthur Andersen and Deloitte, working with public and private sector investors and operators in the hospitality and leisure industries. She has paced building sites around the world, driven through minefields in Africa, ridden roller-coasters in the US and walked stretches of remote shoreline, envisioning value-accretive assets.

Katharine has worked with the full range of stakeholders in the industry on: due diligence; business strategy; M&A; development feasibility; and destination development in all types of markets and economic cycles. She has specialised in investments involving hotels, resorts, theme/water parks and mixed-use schemes. In the process, she has seen the best and the worst of brownfield and greenfield development and crunched a lot of numbers.

She is also committed to training/mentoring the next generation of industry leaders. She is an assessor for the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership (part of Cambridge University) and is a regular moderator/commentator on sustainability issues. She is also Visiting Lecturer on Glion’s Graduate and Executive Education programmes in this field.

Katharine has always been curious about people and places. She has lived and worked in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Taiwan and France and is currently based in London. She speaks French and very rusty Mandarin Chinese.
